Donald Trump Said 'Salute To America' Event Will Return To D.C. in 2020

July 9, 2019

Next year’s Fourth of July festivities in D.C. will look very similar to this year’s.

President Donald Trump said because this year’s celebration was a success, similar events will be held next year.

“We had a remarkable ‘Salute to America’ on the National Mall,” Trump said.

Trump’s July 4 event featured tanks, flyovers, performances and a speech at the Lincoln Memorial.

It’s unclear how much the event cost, but the event prompted protests throughout the day.
