Last Month Was The Warmest June Earth Has Ever Recorded

Last month’s heat set a new record for the planet. 

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said June 2019 was the warmest June recorded. The previous hottest June came in 2016. 

Record high temperatures last month were evident in central and eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. 

Global temperatures were 1.71 degrees warmer than usual in June. 

The NOAA said 2019 is tied to be the second warmest year behind 2016. The organization is also certain 2019 will become one of the warmest years ever since data was collected.
