Arlington Amazon HQ2 is Breaking Ground

Amazon first announced that it was coming to Northern Virginia back in November after a long bidding war from cities across the country.

And now, after nearly four months, the new home for HQ2 is breaking ground.

A proper construction site complete with empty buildings, closed off fencing and tower cranes has popped up just on the other side of Route one on Crystal Drive, according to Fox5.

The Crystal City Metro Station is expected to recieve an all new access point as an alternative to the current exit that is located on the othere side of the hill, Fox5 reported.

Amazon has not responded to WIAD's request for more information regarding the timeline of the construction project.
