Alexandria Is One Of The Top Small Cities In The U.S., Report Finds

October 7, 2019

A Northern Virginia city was recognized as one of the best in the country.

Conde Nast Traveler received 600,000 votes on the nation’s top cities. Alexandria appeared at No. 3 on the list of small cities with populations under 350,000 people.

The outlet said many people start to imagine moving near Old Town once they visit the first time.

“Washingtonians are all in on the secret, but it's no surprise the rest of the world is catching up: Alexandria, Virginia, the charming, historic city just across the Potomac River from our nation's capital, draws travelers and would-be residents alike,” the report said.

Charleston, South Carolina topped the list.
