Where To Watch The Nationals Playoff Series Around The DMV

October 3, 2019

The Washington Nationals secured a spot in the National League Division Series with a win against the Brewers in Tuesday’s Wild Card game.

The NLDS starts Thursday, with the Nationals scheduled to face the Dodgers at 8:37 p.m.

It doesn’t appear the Nationals will host a watch party for the first game of the series, so here are a few sports bars around the DMV to consider.

Location: 1221 Van St. SE Washington, DC 20003

The Navy Yard bar features a two-story atrium created to make you feel like you’re standing at an outdoor courtyard. Its menu is full of Mexican classics and creative cocktails that could get you ready for the game.

The G.O.A.T

Location: 3028 Wilson Blvd. Arlington, Va. 22201

The popular Northern Virginia bar includes games and many TVs for you to catch the Nats. A full menu features a mix of appetizers, sausages and burgers.

Penn Social

Location: 801 E St. NW Washington, DC 20004

If you’re early enough, you’ll be able to capitalize on their happy hour deals, which run until 7 p.m. and include $2 off drafts, $5 rail drinks and $6 glasses of wine. Taquitos, chicken poppers or pulled sliders are among the food items.

Nellie’s Sports Bar

Location: 900 U St. NW Washington, DC 20001

Thursday nights at Nellie’s are game days, with football on the big screen and $15 buckets of Bud products offered all night. Consider catching the Nats at the establishment with burgers, sandwiches and classic game day snacks on its menu.

Church Hall

The Georgetown spot features $5 rail cocktails, $6 food items and $8 wine and frozen drinks until 7 p.m. during the week.  It also has games, quite a few seats and plenty of TVs.
