If Oprah Winfrey gave you some advice, would you take it?

According to Winfrey herself, her opinion shouldn't sway a friend one way or the other -- especially not those of the royal couple.

Rumors recently swirled suggesting that the royal couple, which have been long-time friends with Winfrey and invited her to their wedding, decided to stepping down from roles as "senior members" of the royal family after being encouraged by Oprah to "build their own brand," according to Page Six.

The announcement they released Wednesday said that they will take some time between North America and England to raise their son Archie.

"This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity," they said in a statement.

Despite the rumors, Winfrey is maintaining that she would never meddle.

"Meghan and Harry do not need my help figuring out what's best for them," Oprah told BuzzFeed News. "I care about them both and support whatever decisions they make for their family."
