A Two-Hour 'Game of Thrones' Documentary is Coming to HBO

The series finale of Game of Thrones is set to air Sunday, May 19, but don't let your tears fall just yet. HBO has rewarded all of the show's loyal fans with a treat.

A two-hour long documentary detailing the making of the final season will be released just one week following the finale.

On May 26, you can indulge in a full 90 minutes of "the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields and car-parks of Northern Ireland,” according to an HBO press release.

Game of Thrones: The Last Watch is billed to be "more than a 'making of' documentary." The press release describes it as "funny, heartbreaking" and "bittersweet" in the only way that saying goodbye to such a beloved series could be.
