Unemployment In D.C. Increased For Second Straight Month

August 5, 2019

The unemployment rate in the D.C. area increased for the second time in as many months.

Unemployment in the area jumped to 3.4 percent in June, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said.

The trend in the District doesn’t follow the national pattern, which saw unemployment figures fall in about 300 cities across the U.S.
