After growing up in Providence, Rhode Island, I headed to Boston to study Criminal Law. I ended up sitting in on a trial for a violent crime and said “nope…not for me!” One thing led to another and I enrolled in broadcasting school and eventually graduated with a 4.0! My career has taken me to Providence, Orlando, Boston, New Hampshire, Baltimore, and now Washington, D.C.! I yearn to bring some kind of joy into other people’s lives, either through the music I play, the information I broadcast, or the prizes and trips I give away. It truly keeps me going….along with my family. I’m married and have two boys, ages 13 and 15.

My life was wonderful until that dreadful day, on March 12th, 2014….when I was diagnosed with Leukemia… Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia…with a Philadelphia chromosome to make matters worse. I was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital from March 2014 until September 2014 as an inpatient.

I received a bone marrow transplant in June of 2014 from an anonymous donor from the National Bone Marrow Registry which saved my life. I can say with great enthusiasm that I am CANCER FREE today and take each and every day as it comes. I’m grateful for so many people and things in my life.
